Joe McElvaneyis founder and managing director of McElvaney Consultants. Joe trained as an actuary with Irish Life Assurance Company and after qualifying he joined Bacon and Woodrow as a consulting actuary. After a few years he moved to Buck Consultants where, for many years, he advised some of Ireland’s leading companies such as CRH, Tesco Ireland and Glanbia on all aspects of their pension arrangements. In 2003, Joe resigned from Buck Consultants to set up McElvaney Consultants. As well as being a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries in Ireland, Joe is an Associate of the Irish Institute of Pensions Managers.

 

Claire McElvaney is a director and company secretary of McElvaney Consultants. Claire worked with Bank of Ireland up to 1989 when she left to establish a retail business which traded successfully for a number of years.
